Lachlan Day

Acting Meredith Primary School Principal

Prior to my joining the team here at Meredith Primary School, I have been the Principal of Cape Clear Primary School for the past four years. Before my appointment to Cape Clear PS, I worked at Pleasant Street Primary School in Ballarat, a school of 360 students. My roles were varied and began as a generalist classroom teacher, teaching all primary year levels. I then became the Leading Teacher with a beginning role leading teaching and learning and concluding with student wellbeing. I spent the past two years at Pleasant Street in an Acting Assistant Principal Role and at times an Acting Principal Role.

I am an Executive Member of the Country Education Partnership (CEP) which is a not-for-profit organisation who works with rural and remote communities in the delivery of high-quality learning for all students. CEP work collaboratively and in partnerships that focus on the unique needs of individual communities.

I am extremely passionate about education, and it has run in my families’ veins for many years. My mother and sister have both been employed in the Government Education system as principal class employees.

I am thankful for the opportunity to work with you all at Meredith Primary School and look forward to being a part of the team. If there is anything you require and or wish to speak about in the year commencing, please do not hesitate to contact me on the school mobile or just contact the office.
